How do I make my own flag?
Pick a layout, set the colors, add a symbol, then download the file. In Flag Maker you start from a pattern such as a tricolor or a Nordic cross, click each stripe to recolor it, and drop shapes, symbols, text or your own image on top. It runs in your browser for free.
Choose the proportions first, since they change how everything else fits. Most national flags use 2:3 or 1:2, and the flag ratios guide lists the common ones. After that, you can resize, rotate, recolor, flip or reorder any element you select.
Keep the first version simple. A design with two or three colors and one symbol is easier to recognize and to print. The how to design a flag guide explains why. When it looks right, save it to My flags or download a PNG, JPG or SVG. Open the flag maker to start.
